The second day was packed with a series of workshops and design showcases. We were particularly impressed by the presentations on the Hampton Kinetic and Scenic Schemes. These design schemes represent the cutting edge of hotel interior aesthetics and functionality, aiming to enhance guest experiences through thoughtful and innovative design elements.
Hampton Kinetic Scheme
The Hampton Kinetic Scheme was showcased through a variety of inspiring materials and layouts. This scheme focuses on dynamic, vibrant elements that energize the spaces. The selection of wall coverings and textiles, such as the bold blue wallcovering for retail and public restrooms (WC-13) and the modern geometric patterns for the front of house (FOH), emphasizes a lively and engaging environment. The combination of quartz countertops at the front desk (ST-10) and the bright accent ceiling paint (PT-10/18) contributes to an atmosphere that is both welcoming and stimulating.
The meeting spaces and public areas are designed to be multifunctional and visually appealing, incorporating modern design trends that facilitate both relaxation and productivity.
Hampton Scenic Scheme
In contrast, the Hampton Scenic Scheme takes a more serene and natural approach, focusing on creating a tranquil and inviting ambiance. This scheme utilizes earthy tones and organic textures to create a sense of calm and relaxation. The wallcoverings for the lobby (WC-12) and the carefully curated selection of upholstery fabrics contribute to a cohesive look that promotes comfort and tranquility.
The use of natural materials and muted color palettes in the guest rooms and communal areas encourages a peaceful retreat for guests, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The Hampton Kinetic Scheme was particularly notable for its vibrant and dynamic design elements. This exciting reveal took place during the Hilton Design Summit, where a select group of interior designers from across the United States gathered to witness the latest innovations in hospitality design.
Courtney Crosby's tour provided an in-depth look at the thoughtful details and modern aesthetics that define the new guest room concept. Attendees were introduced to the key design elements that prioritize both comfort and functionality, reflecting the evolving needs of today's travelers.
